Two technicians manning a tracking station on the Victorian High Plains pursue opposite ways of coping with isolation. The ageing Cunningham seems to be rejuvenated by and obsessed with the landscape, while the younger Barker withdraws into the interior and technical world of the station.

The fourth of 12 singing Westerns starring the "Silvery-Voiced Baritone," Fred Scott, Melody of the Plains begins peacefully enough with Scott, as cowboy Steve Condon, warbling Don Swander and June Hershey's "Albuquerque." The story quickly takes a rather grim turn when one of Steve's colleagues is shot and killed after selling out to a gang of rustlers. Mistakenly believing he fired the deadly shot, a dejected Steve, along with sidekick Fuzzy, goes to work for Bud's father, a rancher nearly forced into bankruptcy by a crooked land developer.

A gang of swindlers takes advantage of simple-minded Fuzzy Jones.....

Peterson has a plan to obtain all the ranches in the valley. He gives Carson a phony Spanish land grant and has him pose as the Mexican owner. When Fred and Fuzzy have their cattle stolen by Peterson's men, they quickly become involved in the scheme.

Billy joins an outlaw band led by woman to clear his name of their crimes, which are being blamed on him.

Roy runs a pipeline and near by is a rocket missile site. Camwell is after one of the missiles and to gain access to the site, steals oil from Roy's pipeline to sell. When the next missile is fired, Camwell is ready. He finds the missile, takes the data box, and replaces it with explosives set to go off just as the missile is returned to the site.

Horses are being rustled by outlaws known as the Hell Hounds. When the Sheriff is killed, his Deputy Yak takes over the search for the rustlers. John Lawson says Yak cannot marry his daughter until the murderer of the Sheriff is caught. But unknown to Lawson, the murderer is his own son.

A legendary film in the history of rock climbing in the Verdon Gorges, shot in 16mm between the autumn of 1978 and the spring of 1979 by Henri Agresti, a high mountain guide. For the first time, acrobatic shots were taken on the walls of the Verdon. We rediscover a whole generation of pioneers on routes like Dingomaniaque, Triomphe d'Eros, Péril rouge, Luna Bong, Pichenibule or Necronomicon, routes which, like Dingomanique or Triomphe d'Eros, had just been opened. We witnessed a major turning point in the style and possibilities of rock climbing at the end of the 1970s: anchors sealed by drilling used as belaying and no longer as aids, new equipment: climbing shoes and chalk, harnesses and figure eights. Henri Agresti's unfinished and silent film, lasting around fifty minutes, was presented in the form of a nine-minute fragment at the Trento Film Festival in 1981.
